Wills and Estate Planning
Our firm can provide Will and probate services designed to preserve your assets for your heirs. We also assist in the planning necessary to avoid unnecessary complication in the event of significant injury or illness.
We can provide:
Simple Will This basic document outlines who will inherit your assets upon your death, and how they will be distributed.
Complex Will In addition to designating heirs, you may wish to set up trusts to provide for minor children, or to preserve family assets.
Directive to Physicians (Also called a "living will") This gives specific instructions to your family and health care providers about life support and heroic medical measures if you become ill.
Medical Power of Attorney This enables a spouse or other designee to make health care decisions on your behalf if you are incapacitated.
Durable Power of Attorney If you are not able to handle your own affairs, a pre-appointed family member or friend can make financial and business decisions in your place.
Guardianship This arrangement provides financial care and personal oversight of a minor child or an adult with special needs, if you die or become incapacitated.
Trusts
Probate Administration When a loved one dies, often a family member is named as the executor of the will. Probate issues can be very confusing and can place a great deal of stress upon families. With my years of experience, we can assist you in the process of probating wills in Texas with the professionalism and sensitivity needed for such delicate matters. We assist in settling the estate, from paying debts to distributing assets to heirs. We also represent family members in probate litigation, such as will challenges or unauthorized possession of assets of the estate. |
